A cool and rather different Roland JV-1080 Demo

The crazy synth nutter Syntza has a lot of different demos up on YouTube. Here’s one of my favorites, a great soundscape demo made with the Roland JV-1080 module. The JV-1080 is a classic among romplers, having been used in thousands of tracks since it hit the market in 1994, and as Syntza shows here it’s definitely a useful synth even today – despite the low prices these tend to go for on the second hand market these days. The sound quality is a little rough, but I think this is still a great demo showing that the 1080 can be used for music that don’t necessarily fall in any kind of pop music category – if you just venture beyond the presets!
